Equip

First, we equip educators with a digital library of culturally rich content designed to support social & emotional learning.

Engage

Second, Schoolz lessons are facilitated by animated characters, making it easier to engage students in hybrid learning environments.

Educate

Third, we infuse critical thinking activities to help students apply the new concepts, skills, and knowledge they’ve learned.

Our Story

Founded by former educators, Mondo Davison, Mychal Batson, and Dario Otero

Frustrated by the education system’s resistance to change, the trio ventured into entrepreneurship to increase their overall impact within their community. By focusing on the intersection of tech, art, and media, the growing need for SEL curriculum, and the necessity of culturally rich lessons that reflect a multitude of student experiences, Schoolz is perched to be “what’s been missin” from the classroom.

March of 2021, Schoolz was awarded a Community Innovation Grant from the Bush Foundation to bring creative artists & educators together to co-create a more equitable Social & Emotional Learning framework.
